Facial Exercises

November 15, 2009

I don’t look as I feel on the inside!

We forget names but remember faces. However, as we grow older the face we had years ago looks different now, the person in the mirror has changed so much overtime that sometimes even we don’t recognize it.

What can we do?
Should we undergo a facelift with all the risks involved and costs tons of money or should we just accept the reality of life and live the rest of our life with a nagging feeling that life has passed us by?

Fortunately, the same principles that work for our body muscles can have the same affect on our facial muscles. There are 57 different muscles in the face; since we don’t use all of them in our daily life, as with anything that is not used, overtime the muscles just become weaker and whither away.

Facial Exercises is a natural way to keep facial muscles firm and toned, it improves the blood circulation in the face and allows oxygen and nutrients to flow freely to the cells.

Practicing Facial Exercises is gaining in popularity because it is inexpensive and safe; it is non-invasive, uses no chemicals or toxins and can be done in a few minutes a day.

Try the breakthrough Facial Exercises today in the privacy of your home, your different look will radiate a confidence and help improve your self esteem. If after 7 days of properly using this program, you don’t see or feel any result, you are covered by a full money back guarantee; you have nothing to lose except for your wrinkles.

Is there any facial exercises i can do, to get more defined cheekbones?!?

January 19, 2010

I love defined cheekbones,
and it really annoys me that i don’t have them,

I realize you can create defined cheekbones with makeup,
and i do this everyday,
but i usually cannot be bothered to do this anymore,
and would like actual defined cheekbones, without makeup :)

So is there any facial exercises that i am able to do,
to create cheekbones?
or do you know of any websites that can teach me some?!

Please no mean comments xD
thanks!!

Sorry, but I don’t think you can. I think it depends on your facial shape. For example, if you have a heart-shaped face with high cheekbones your cheekbones are usually really defined. However, if you have a round face then your cheekbones might never be as defined as you want them to be.
You can easily find your facial shape on google, if you don’t know what it is. Or if your internet crashes just trace your face shape on the mirror with lipstick or opaque soap that can be seen easily. The shape that matches your face the most (heart, square, oval, round, diamond, etc.) is your face shape.
You already know how to define your cheekbones with makeup, so I don’t think there’s a problem there. Just brush upwards with a blusher brush, shape it to make it seem like you have defined cheekbones — the works.
If you are a bit chubby, though, you might want to lose weight to get the cheekbones you want. I’m not saying that I think you’re chubby, I’m trying to help… you’re avatar is great.
Hope I helped!

How would you adapt a facial massage for the following skin types?

January 15, 2010

a) Mature (crepey)
b) Sensitive
c) Blemished/Congested
Which massage moves would be particularly beneficial, or should be avoided?
Which areas that may require extra attention or should be avoided?
Which massage medium would you use?
Would you need to adapt the pressure of the massage?
Thanks guys!

Click here for more information

a) mature = be extra gentle, outwards and upwards movements, skin may tend to stay in position you move it to so nothing really pulling. obviously ageing has already occured but try going round eyes and lips a lot – gently! any massage medium as long as it’s moisturising, may avoid strong smelling ones too.

b) sensitive = plain oil or cream (so as not to aggravate allergies,) any massage moves will be fine, altho stay away from anything too vigorous or warming on areas that already tend to be red. be gentle if they tend to sensitive to touch in areas

c) blemished/congested = oil or cream, just make sure you tone it off after. outwards and upwards movements – lymph drainage moves outwards towards ears (there are drainage nodes behind ears) any pressure. i would use firm pressure with drainage moves to try to disperse congestion. balancing toner afterwards.

can’t really say which areas to pay attention to as each person is different – you will see when you do it. can always ask the client if the pressure is ok while you’re doing it/ and ask if they have any painful areas or sensitive bitsallergies before you start

hope that helps

good luck

What are some good facial exercises?

January 02, 2010

I need a facial exercise to help tighten the skin under, on and around my cheekbones.

Can I use Aloevera cream for facial massage?

December 27, 2009

I know that oil should be used for facial massage, but I have this herbal Aloevera multi-purpose cream, which itself is quite oily and feels very gentle and thin on skin. I am using it from past two days and after every massage I feel a much softer and smoother skin. Still, is it alright to use this cream or I should get Almond oil (my skin is normal. not oily or dry) to massage.
I am a male, 20 years old.

Using Aloe-vera on you face is fine. I use it on my face too and it makes my face feel soft! I really like it!
Your Welcome if this helps

Facial Massage

December 18, 2009

There’s something for everyone is this smoothing, relaxing, invigorating and brightening daily or weekly facial massage.

I used Dermalogica Precleanse but you can use any facial massage oil or cleanser as long as it doesn’t drag the skin or dry out too quickly.

This can be done alone or as part of a full facial (cleanse, exfoliate, mask, massage, tone and then moisturise)

Any questions, please ask but do look at all the other comment to find an answer as I cannot repeat answers.

As ever, thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe – it’s free!

Does kissing help strengthen your facial muscles and thus prevent wrinkles?

December 14, 2009

.

Does kissing help strengthen your facial muscles and thus prevent wrinkles? just a thought…lol
if you strengthen your facial muscles you will cause wrinkles…i.e. making expressions by raising and lowering your brow cause wrinkles on your forehead…over time these wrinkles become permanent because of the skin falling into the strengthened muscle…just like the skin over a six pack of abs

Why does my face get whiter after I exercise – Face Exercise?

December 14, 2009

I dont normally exercise much and so im usually groggy..but whenever I do exercise my face gets whiter. My stomach area is pretty fair skinned usually but my face and wrist area is kind of grey/brownish/yellow…basically darker. However once i get that heart pumping my face suddenly gets as white as my stomach area..why is that? Is this something to do with Face Exercise?
so…is this a bad thing? i feel much better afterward tho..

Because blood rushes to where it’s needed (away from your face)

How many facial muscles does a person have, and how many of them are activated due facial expressions ?

December 12, 2009

.

Which are the most common facial expression and which facial muscles groups are they using ?

Comment: I think there are between 55 and 60, but the facial muscles include:
* Occipitofrontalis (raises the eyebrows and wrinkles the forehead, so yes for expression)
* Procerus
* Nasalis muscle
* Depressor septi nasi
* Orbicularis oculi (closes the eyelids)
* Corrugator supercilii (is the “frowning” muscle)
* Depressor supercilii (eye muscle)
* Auricular muscles (anterior, superior, posterior)
* Orbicularis oris (the sphincter muscle around the mouth)
* Depressor anguli oris (It is a muscle of facial expression associated with frowning)
* Risorius (muscles of facial expression)
* Zygomaticus major
* Zygomaticus minor (Is a muscle of facial expression which draws the angle of the mouth superiorly and posteriorly)
* Levator labii superioris
* Levator labii superioris alaeque nasi (It dilates the nostril and elevates the upper lip, enabling one to snarl. Elvis Presley is famous for his use of this facial expression, earning the muscle this nickname “The Elvis muscle”)
* Depressor labii inferioris (a facial muscle that helps lower the bottom lip.
* Levator anguli oris (a facial muscle of the mouth)
* Buccinator (a muscle at the side of the face, its action is to pull back the angle of the mouth and to flatten the cheek area)
* Mentalis (situated at the tip of the chin. It raises and pushes up the lower lip, causing wrinkling of the chin, as in doubt or displeasure. Sometimes referred to as the “pouting muscle”)
* Platysma ( Although it’s mostly in the neck, due to its common innervation it can also be considered a muscle of facial express)

I think that there are more facial muscles, and i will post as soon as i find out

How can I reduce/prevent wrinkles? Do facial exercises really help reduce wrinkles?

December 12, 2009

.

Do any of the products on the market really help to treat and prevent wrinkles? What is Q10. Are there any economical choices for wrinkle treatment? How about facial exercises? Are they effective and do you know where I can learn how to do them if they are? Thanks for your help in advance.

Comment: I use a very natural beauty regimen and most people tell me I look at least ten years younger than I really am. Here is what I do daily: 1. I never wear base make-up (really bad for the pores) 2. I only wash my face with warm water and a terry wash cloth, NEVER with soap or anything else. 3. I remove mascara and eye make-up with olive oil and a cotton pad or soft tissue, never with heavy cold creams. 4. I do not tan my skin and I make sure to wear a large brimmed hat if I am going to stay out in the sun for a long time. 5.. I eat a healthy and balanced organic diet. 6. I get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. 7. I slather Aloe Vera gel  on my face, hands and throat at least once a day after washing. It not only prevents wrinkles, but is great at getting rid of fine lines quickly. 8. I use a natural lip balm containing jojoba oil and Vitamins E, A and C, which prevents aging of the lips. I’ve tried the facial exercises, but it takes a lot of determination to stick with them for the rest of your life. They warn you in the books that the wrinkles will re-appear if you stop the exercises. If you would like to give them a try, the book Face Building is a really good resource. CoQ10 is great stuff and is definitely worth a try. There are so many great natural products out there, and I tried many until I found what worked best for me. I hope you find what works best for you on your journey towards wrinkle-free bliss! Good luck.
